Printmaking Residency at Graphic Studio, Nov 2021

I was extremely excited to learn that I was awarded the Fingal County Graphic Studio Dublin Residency Award for 2021. This two week residency gave me a chance to immerse myself into a thorough exploration of screenprinting, a medium that I have great enthusiasm for but limited access to as it requires the resources of a full print studio not to mention the expertise and assistance of a master printer. With the aid of Robert Russell, the highly experienced director of the Graphic Studio, I worked for two weeks experimenting with a variety of screenprinting techniques and pushing myself to try out new types of imagery in my work. The result was a small series of prints based on maps of places of importance in my life- a series I hope to continue as prints and possibly back in my painting studio as well.
